9. Do I need a specific type of garden or yard to host a hive?

  • You don't need a specific type of garden, but it's beneficial to have a space with morning sun and afternoon shade. Bees can thrive in various environments. Bees will travel up to 2 miles to gather pollen and nectar, which can be about 77 square acres in area!

10. What happens after the year is over?

  • At the end of the hosting period, the hive will be removed from your property. You can choose to continue hosting if you wish. If you enjoyed the experience so much, you can purchase the entire hive with bees!
